ALL ABOUT Larry George:
Larry retired in 2006 from First UMC in Sacramento. He is
returning this year to share his twenty year experiences, travel, and study in
Israel/Palestine, Jordon, and Egypt. Larry has led many travel-study groups
with the emphasis on people-to-people contacts, including volunteer work teams
at Palestinian schools. In June 2000, he took a group of twenty high school
youth and eight adult spending several days with Israeli and Palestinian
students and their families, and as a
member of the United Methodist Board of Global Ministries delegation in
January 2006.

"I am a retired Professor from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, where I taught for 37 years. I will be traveling to the Occupied Palestinian Territories in February 2008 with the GBGM mission team. I am a Study Leader for the UMW School of Missions, 2007-2008 on the topic of Israel and Palestine. I also serve on the CA-NV Conference Task Force on Israel and Palestine. I am a lay member of Central UMC in Stockton."

Taybeh is a Palestinian village located 30 kilometres north-east of
Jerusalem, inside the occupied territories of the West Bank, and 60
